I was feeling grumpy about the weather, so I decided to turn my frown upside down and list all the things I like about Laramie. I’m a bit of a theater nerd, so the list turned into a rendition of My Favorite Things from The Sound of Music. Sing along with me!

What do we love about this home that we’ve chosen?

Playgrounds with ball fields, a skate park, and swings

These are a few of my favorite things:

We’ve got UW with cowboy pride—Go Pokes!

Wonderful summers, but the skeeters are no joke

Our food trucks sell ice cream, fish, tacos, and wings

Walk around downtown, there’s so much to see

Live music, the market, and parking is free

Or head to the mountains, they’ve got great hiking

These are a few of my favorite things.

When the snow hits

When the wind blows

When the sky is mad

I simply remember my favorite things

And then I don’t feel so bad
