From ACSD #1:

The school board met this evening to close Albany County Schools through April 3rd, 2020. Federal, State, and County Health officials all recommended that we close schools to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. This initial school closure through April 3, 2020 may change as the coronavirus spreads through the state and our community.

ACSD#1 will community frequently during this time of crisis to assist our families and help our students remain academically engaged. We will post resources on our website, and we are working on a remote learning model to assist our students. Someone from your child’s school will contact you in the next couple of weeks to share resources and provide assistance during this crisis.

We will be providing meals at five locations for students who receive free and reduced lunch. ACSD#1 will provide further instructions in a separate letter for students who qualify for this program. If you have questions please contact our offices at 307-721-4400.

During this trying time, please let us know how we can assist you and your children. We understand how difficult closing schools will be for our families and students, but we are here to provide whatever assistance we can.

Sincerely,

Jubal C. Yennie, Ed.D.
