The winning beer, named Mother Pucker, was created by head brewer Chris Rank.

“Our brewer was kind of messing around with new stuff, and had put together a small batch of watermelon beer,” said Bonds Brewing co-owner Mallory Bond, “It turned out really good, so we made some of it last summer…. Everybody in the Wyoming Brewers Guild around the state did a sour beer, and Mother Pucker was ours.”

Established in 2019, Bond’s Brewing has participated in the event every year since opening. Owners Jay and Mallory Bond expressed their excitement and gratitude for their success and to everyone involved in the competition.

“We’re expanding, we’re distributing, and we’re getting ready to open up a taproom in Buffalo. With Brewfest, (we plan) to definitely keep making awesome beer and hopefully everyone keeps liking it!”
