UW Club Baseball back in the playoffs

Your Wyoming Cowboys Club baseball team has punched their ticket to the playoffs for the first time since 2013. The team will head to Kearny Nebraska and play the University of Iowa in a double elimination, first round playoff series starting at 7pm on May 13th at Memorial Field.

UW finished their regular season in second place behind the University of Colorado in the Mid-America-West Conference. The University of Wyoming was 10-8 overall with a 8-4 conference record while the University of Colorado finished their regular season 13-6 overall and 9-3 in conference play. UW faces off against a 16-5 Iowa team that finished first in the Mid-America-North conference at 8-1.

The 2022 National Collegiate Baseball Association (NCBA) Regional Tournaments will take place May 13th – 15th. There are 8 regions in this playoff tournament, in which the winner of each region will move onto the 2022 Division I World Series taking place May 27th – June 2nd. These games will be hosted at Dolny Stadium on the campus of Lander University in Greenwood South Carolina.

The Cowboys are coached by Tucker Priola, Samuel Wicks, Jacob Lewis, and Calvin Leeland who are also players, with the help of volunteers Jaret Falkowski and Austin Perry. The Wyoming Cowboys are a 22 man roster that is excited to return to the playoffs and are ready for the competition. Your Wyoming Cowboys are thankful of all your support throughout the regular season and look forward to the upcoming postseason games.
