Working Hard For The Animals During a Time of Uncertainty

A message from the Laramie Animal Shelter –

“With the concerns about COVID 19, folks are practicing social distancing.  To that end, the shelter is working hard to find creative ways to allow people to continue to adopt animals.

We are taking steps to increase our use of social media like Facebook to promote both our adoptable pets and incoming stray animals that need to be reunited with their owners.  Check our Facebook page for updates and to see if your pet might be in the shelter.  We will update our Facebook page on weekdays several times each day to help people as they consider adoption or look for their lost pet.  As always, our regular website it www.adoptapet.com/laramie-animal-shelter.

We are also working hard to return all found animals directly home rather than have them enter the shelter to be redeemed by their owners.  To help us in that effort, make sure your pets are wearing a collar and tags with current contact information.  If we pick up your pet and we can reach you directly, we’ll happily deliver your pet home to save Fluffy or Fido that trip to the shelter.

If you have other business to conduct or questions to ask, our phone line is always available.  As above, you can reach us at 307-721-5385 extension 0.  If you wish to contact us via email you can reach our staff at AnimalControlDivision@cityoflaramie.org.  We check this shared email account several times daily on weekdays.

We hope that folks are safe and well and that they have their furry companions at home with them during this time.”
