A Slice of Laramie sees a marvel

I got to witness the great semi-truck migration of 2020 yesterday. Trucks swarmed all over West Laramie, waiting to get on the highway and continue their westward journey. The pilot car hovered in front of the gate, eagerly awaiting its release. Tension thrummed through the air, or I assume it did. It was too cold to roll down the car window and check.

My children pressed their faces to the windows as we drove by, exclaiming that they’d never seen so many trucks in the same place in their lives. “Don’t worry,” I told them, with the wisdom of the ages. “You’ll see it again next time it snows.”
