Laramie Interfaith Launches STEP Program

Browse By

Laramie Interfaith is proud to present our STEP program, a three-month program designed to help people build foundational skills they need to achieve self-sufficiency.

Interfaith is partnering with community organizations to teach 3 free classes: financial education and budgeting, job preparation and resume building, and a mental health and wellness seminar. Classes will be hosted by ANB Bank in Laramie, The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, and the Albany County Community Health Clinic.

Participants will also work with a dedicated case manager to address participant’s other needs and connect them with resources in the community. Case managers will help monitor participants’ progress and provide guidance during the program and follow up with them once the program is completed.

Through the STEP program, Laramie Interfaith aims to address the root causes of financial instability in households, and to do more than simply patch over problems with one-time assistance. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to develop their financial and budgeting skills, create a resume, and learn about available resources for job preparation.

The first round of  the program will take place May 8 – July 11, 2023.

Laramie Interfaith is accepting STEP applications through Friday, April 28th. Those interested in registering for the program can call (307) 742-4240 and leave a message at option 1, or visit our website: https://www.laramieinterfaith.org/services/step-stabilization-transition-and-emergency-prevention
