The city of Laramie is abuzz with excitement as the 3rd Annual Adult Prom, themed “Boots, Bowties, & Bling,” is just around the corner. Hosted at the Cowboy Saloon & Dance Hall on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm, this 21+ event promises an unforgettable evening for all.
The Adult Prom, a community favorite, is not your typical high school affair but a night of glamour, fun, and fundraising. The dynamism behind this event ensures that it’s a hit every year.
Guests can expect doors to swing open at 6:45 pm, with the music starting promptly at 7:00 pm. As an added bonus, attendees stand a chance to win a fabulous $300.00 Airbnb gift card for a dream getaway.
The evening’s lineup is packed with excitement, including dance games, a professional photo booth to capture those glamorous moments, spiked punch specials for a little extra flair, finger food to keep energy levels up, door prizes to keep things interesting, a grand march to showcase the attendees in all their finery, and the highly anticipated crowning of the King and Queen.
One of the event organizer’s, Justin Scott, explained further about the theme and what to expect: “This year’s theme, “Boots, Bowties, and Bling” is a blended idea that brings the traditional prom theme of the event into the western Wyoming setting of this year’s venue. Although you do not need boots, bowties, or bling to join in on the fun, we encourage guests to enjoy an evening of getting dressed up for a night out in Laradise. The event includes a best dressed contest, and you would be impressed with some of the winners from the past. Xanadu Productions will also be there with an interactive photo booth with an elegant western backdrop, where you will be sure to get a great picture or two. The authentic western design of the Cowboy Dance Hall and Saloon along with an elegant décor of Prom will be welcoming for everyone and provide a great setting for an evening out.”
This year, the event finds its new home at the Cowboy Saloon and Dance Hall in Laramie. The decision to relocate from Bond’s Brewing Company was made as the Adult Prom has grown beyond the confines of its previous venue. “Our friends at Bond’s Brewing Company have been such great partners and have supported us from the beginning. The amount of community support the team at Bond’s provides is truly a gift. After last year’s Prom we had all agreed that a larger venue was in order, so we set off looking. The search was simple, as just a few blocks down the street resides the Cowboy Saloon and Dance Hall. We reached out to them and they welcomed us with open arms. The new venue provides more space and a large dance floor to create some memories. The Cowboy offers multiple bars and each of them will be staffed for this event. They also have two VIP Sections that were purchased by larger groups of guests.” Justin told us.
What makes this celebration even more special is that 100% of the proceeds go towards supporting the community’s response to human trafficking. It’s a chance for everyone to have a great time while contributing to a vital cause.
