Music enthusiasts in Laramie are in for a treat this Friday as award-winning Italian violinist Simone Spadino Pippa and South Korean pianist Jiwon Han gear up to deliver a spellbinding performance at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall. The event, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on March 8, promises an evening of musical brilliance, featuring compositions by renowned composers.

The program, curated by these virtuosos, will showcase a diverse repertoire, including masterpieces by Johannes Brahms, Niccolo Paganini, Alexy Shor-Pletnev, and Maurice Ravel. With each note, the audience will be transported on a captivating journey through the realms of classical music.

Simone Spadino Pippa, hailed as a “rare mixture of strength and delicacy” by Spanish composer Manuel Martinez Burgos, has enthralled audiences worldwide with his solo performances and chamber music renditions. A master student of Pavel Vernikov at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, Spadino Pippa’s prowess as a violinist has earned him recognition as a Pirastro Young Artist. His collaborations with esteemed orchestras like the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra and the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra have cemented his status as a prominent figure in the classical music scene.

Joining him on stage is Jiwon Han, an accomplished pianist, conductor, and educator. Hailing from South Korea, Han has graced prestigious concert venues across the globe, leaving a lasting impression with his unparalleled artistry. With two solo albums to his name and numerous collaborative ventures, including performances with violinist Zia Shin and violinist Fangting Chen, Han’s musical journey is nothing short of extraordinary. His dedication to promoting diversity and equity in music is evident through his research on Black and female composers and his exploration of U.S. history through a musical lens.

This exceptional collaboration between Spadino Pippa and Han promises to captivate audiences and leave them in awe of the beauty of classical music. The recital is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity for music lovers of all ages to experience the magic firsthand.
