UW Theatre and Dance Presents Magical ‘Into the Woods’ Finale!

The University of Wyoming’s Theatre and Dance Department is wrapping up its 2023-24 season with a spectacular production of “Into the Woods,” the beloved musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. Under the direction of Matthew Greenberg, this captivating show will grace the stage from April 4th to 6th and April 11th to 13th, with matinee performances on April 7th and 14th, all starting at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices are reasonable: $14 for the public, $11 for seniors, and just $7 for students, with an additional nominal processing fee.

Greenberg is thrilled to bring this enchanting tale to the audiences of Laramie and the University of Wyoming. Set in a whimsical school playground, the production encourages imagination and imparts valuable lessons on selflessness. Originally debuting on Broadway in 1987, “Into the Woods” received three prestigious Tony Awards, including Best Score and Best Book.
