The 3rd Annual Laramie International Flavor Festival takes place from April 16-20 in Downtown Laramie, featuring flavors and events from 24 venues inspired by international students and community members.

Organized by the Laramie Main Street Alliance in collaboration with the University of Wyoming’s Office of Global Engagement, the festival celebrates diverse international influences through food, stories, and conversations.

This year’s festival showcases menu items inspired by over 60 “flavor ambassador” entries representing 40 nations. Participating downtown restaurants will offer dishes infused with these flavors, accompanied by stories displayed on tables.

Highlights include traditional dishes like Egyptian Koshary at Sweet Melissa’s and creative fusions like Italian-Mexican items at Chacho’s Taco. Local filmmaker, Nid Collins, inspired Accomplice to serve a full English cooked breakfast during the festival.

Community stories, such as Silvia Aguirre-Peppers’ memories of Ecuadorian cuisine, will be featured, with dishes like potato pancakes with peanut sauce at 2nd Street Deli.

Events throughout the week include poetry readings, international disco, trivia, and dance, leading up to the WyoGlobal International Culture Adventure on April 20 at The Collective, where UW international students will showcase their cultures and talents.

Festival co-chair Ali Grossman emphasizes the festival’s aim to connect the Laramie community through shared stories and celebration of heritage, fostering a sense of belonging and discovery.
