Ivinson Memorial Hospital is excited to partner with Feeding Laramie Valley and 9H Ranch to launch the Satanka Food and Community Innovation Hub. This new initiative focuses on boosting local food systems and enhancing food security in Albany County.

Located at Ivinson’s Mountain View Café, the Hub connects local producers like gardeners, farmers, and ranchers with wholesale buyers, offering fresh, locally raised beef from 9H Ranch to patients and guests. This collaboration highlights Ivinson’s dedication to supporting the community with sustainable, healthy food options.

“The Hub is a wonderful step toward increasing access to nutritious, local food,” said Gayle Woodsum, founder of Feeding Laramie Valley. “Ivinson’s commitment to purchasing locally raised beef, and soon, produce, is a great way to promote food security in our area.”

Cody Humphrey, manager of 9H Ranch, adds, “We’re proud to offer high-quality products that benefit our community. If it’s good for the consumer, it’s good for all of us.”

Ivinson’s Dietary Supervisor, Ian Friderich, emphasizes, “We believe in nourishing our patients with fresh, wholesome food sourced from our own community. This partnership not only ensures top-quality meals but also supports the local economy.”

The Hub, supported by a USDA grant and years of community effort, is set to become a key part of Albany County’s food security and sustainability. It’s more than just a distribution center—it’s a community-driven project that empowers local producers and strengthens the health and well-being of our residents.
