The Albany County Fair Alumni Association announced in a press release today, the 3rd Annual Gem City
Showdown Livestock Show. Over the past two years hundreds of kids and even more livestock
have made their way to the Gem City of the Plains to compete in the show ring for over $5000 in
cash, prizes and bragging rights. This year The Albany County Fair Alumni Association will do it all again the weekend of June 30-July 2 and they hope the kids in the community will join them. Local livestock exhibitors can enter the show at a discount. This year, vendors are being added for your shopping pleasure and Toyota of Laramie are presenting an outdoors concert.

All excess proceeds from the event will benefit the newly formed Albany County Fair Alumni
Association, whose mission is to fund much needed improvements to the fairgrounds, and provide
past and present ACF exhibitors with scholarships and other educational opportunities.
Membership information will be available at the Showdown if you would like to be a part of the
organization.
