Dr. Bailey Johnson, MD, a specialist in orthopedic surgery with a focus on sports medicine, has recently joined the Orthopedic Clinic at Ivinson Medical Group in Laramie, Wyoming. Dr. Johnson, originally from Colorado, brings a wealth of experience to the clinic.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in Spanish from Colorado State University, where she also excelled in women’s rugby. Afterward, she pursued her medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, followed by a sub-specialty year in orthopedic sports medicine at the Hoag Orthopedic Institute.
Dr. Johnson’s patient-centered approach emphasizes personalized care and shared decision-making. She has experience working with athletes, including serving as an NFL Assistant team Physician to the Los Angeles Chargers, as well as caring for patients seeking improved mobility and quality of life.
Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Johnson is dedicated to community service and mentoring aspiring medical students, particularly those interested in orthopedic surgery. She is fluent in Spanish and has used her language skills to assist Spanish-speaking families in accessing community resources.
Dr. Johnson is excited to return to the Mountain West and serve the Laramie community.
