The City of Laramie is excited to invite you to share your thoughts in the 2nd Annual Budget Survey, open from February 26 to April 1, 2025. This is your chance to help decide where the city spends its money on things like parks, roads, and important services that affect everyone.
“This budget survey is one of the ways the City of Laramie communicates with its residents,” said Brannen Moan, a Management Analyst for the city. It’s a great opportunity for you to tell the city what’s important to you and how you think your tax dollars should be used.
The City of Laramie has been working hard to make sure the budget is fair and easy for everyone to understand. Last year, the city created a new group called the City Manager’s Budget Advisory Committee (CMBAC), made up of local citizens who help give advice on how to make the budget process better. “The CMBAC has already provided really great insight,” said City Manager Janine Jordan. “They’ve helped us take our effort to make financial information more accessible to the next level.”
Jennifer Wade, the city’s Administrative Services Director, shared how pleased they were that the committee decided to help out by cosponsoring the survey this year, ensuring it’s easy for everyone to fill out.
By taking the survey, you’re directly helping shape the future of your community. The city will use your feedback to make decisions that match what the people of Laramie value most. It’s all about making sure the community’s needs and values are reflected in the budget.
