Get ready to don your flapper dresses and three-piece suits—Leadership Laramie is hosting a 1920s-themed Gala & Silent Auction on Friday, April 26 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the historic Union Pacific Depot, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
This free, family-friendly event blends vintage glamour, local pride, and a great cause. Funds raised during the evening will go toward the repainting and restoration of Laramie’s historic Union Pacific caboose—a beloved piece of the city’s railroading heritage.
Guests can expect:
- Delicious fare from local food trucks
- A silent auction filled with exclusive items and experiences from local businesses
- 1920s trivia to test your knowledge of the Gatsby era
- A fundraising bar to keep spirits high
Leadership Laramie is encouraging attendees to get into the spirit of the Roaring Twenties by dressing in period attire. Whether you’re rocking fringe and pearls or suspenders and fedoras, the evening promises a lively celebration of community and history.
“The Union Pacific caboose is an iconic piece of local history,” said Rene Sollars, member of the Leadership Laramie Class of 2025. “This gala provides a wonderful opportunity for the community to unite in support of its restoration. The event promises to be a roaring good time celebrating both history and community.”
No tickets are required to attend, and everyone is welcome. More information—including how to contribute or donate to the cause—can be found on the Leadership Laramie Facebook page or by emailing leadershiplaramie2025@gmail.com.
