Aimee Cook: Bringing Community-Focused Insurance to Laramie

Browse By

Aimee Cook’s journey to Laramie began in the mountains of Arizona, but her family roots have always tied her to Wyoming. Growing up in Chino, Arizona—a rural area perched at 6,000 feet elevation—Aimee was no stranger to snow. After attending Arizona State University and spending 11 years building her insurance career in the warmth of Phoenix, she made a bold decision to move to Laramie in January 2024.

The timing couldn’t have been more dramatic. “I did move on the coldest weekend in 2024,” Aimee laughed. “It went from 64 degrees to negative 28 in one day. So that was super fun.” Despite the frigid welcome, she was excited to reconnect with her Wyoming roots. With family ties to Powell, Sheridan, and Newcastle, moving to Laramie felt like a way to explore her heritage and build connections.

Now a part of Crest Insurance in Laramie, Aimee’s role involves helping Laramie residents navigate their insurance needs. “We have the ability to handle most risks—commercial, benefits, personal lines, home, auto,” she explained. “Even though we’re a local office, we’re one of the top 100 PNC companies in the nation, which means we can provide a wide range of options while maintaining a strong community focus.”

Aimee emphasized that she believes in the importance of personal connections. “One of the misconceptions is you can just get a quote and have the coverages you need. But I think it takes sitting down with someone, getting to know them, and understanding their needs,” she shared.

In Laramie, Aimee is eager to continue growing Crest Insurance’s community involvement. From participating in the Laramie Home and Garden Show to engaging with the Laramie Young Professionals, she is enthusiastic about staying connected.

“I want people to know that we’re not new to Laramie,” Aimee said, highlighting Crest Insurance’s history as the former Allen Insurance. Located on the second floor of Interstate Bank at 200 Ivinson Street, the office continues to serve clients with a familiar team and a strong commitment to the community.
