I’ve been complaining about the heat all summer, so my son told me I was not allowed to complain about the early freeze. This is me, not complaining! I did get a kick out of seeing the frantic preparation of everyone living in the Rockies. People were harvesting their gardens early, blowing out their sprinkler lines, and cleaning out their garages so they could park their cars indoors. One of my kids’ teachers sent out an email reminding parents to send their kids to school with warm clothes for recess. Everyone is READY! Bring on the snow!

I like my winter clothes better than my summer clothes, so I’m happy about the cold! I may even get a celebratory pumpkin spice drink.
