Sick, but not with the coronavirus, thankfully! Here’s the first ever A Slice of Laramie post. I hope it’s just as relevant this fall. I’m ready to have UW back to normal!
Summer is almost over, which means football season will begin soon. If you live in Laramie, you have to pay attention to the University of Wyoming’s home football game schedule. You may say you don’t care about football, and I respect that, because honestly neither do I. But what I do care about is whether or not it’s safe to go to Taco Bell.
I once made the mistake of deciding on a whim to take my kids through the Taco Bell drive-thru for lunch on a crisp autumn Saturday afternoon. What should have been a leisurely seven-minute drive became a twenty-minute exercise in learning to dodge jaywalkers dressed in brown and gold. If you live in Laramie, you can’t drive to Taco Bell on game days. I don’t make the rules, I just unfortunately learn about them while my toddler screams that she needs a pintos and cheese RIGHT NOW.
