The road in front of my house is getting repaved. If you memorized all my columns from last year, you may recall that living on a paved road is a relatively new thing for our family. Watching the road get repaved instead of just re-dirted (it’s a word now) has been exciting. My kids loved seeing the big trucks eat up the old pavement and spit it out into the other big trucks. I’m looking forward to driving on the newly smooth road. The only thing I don’t like about it is the smell that comes with the paving process. Our house smells like hot tar. And no, I didn’t burn dinner last night.
