Relative Theatrics, in partnership with the University of Wyoming Honors College, proudly presents The Niceties by Eleanor Burgess, running February 7–15, 2024, at the Gryphon Theater in the Laramie Plains Civic Center.

Directed by Kathy Kirkaldie, this gripping play features Stephanie Anderson as Janine Bosko and Destiny Gabbidon as Zoe Reed. The story follows a Black college student and her white professor as their discussion on slavery’s impact on the American Revolution escalates into an intense debate on race, history, and power.

Performances are scheduled for February 7th, 8th, 12th, 13th, 14th, and 15th at 7:30 p.m., with a pay-what-you-can preview on February 6th at 7:30 p.m. A special post-show talkback, funded by the Wyoming Humanities Crossroads Grant, will follow the February 13th performance.

Tickets are available at three price points ($43/$28/$18) to ensure accessibility and can be purchased online at RelativeTheatrics.com.

Supported by the Wyoming Arts Council, Wyoming Humanities, Zonta Club of Laramie, and local community partners, The Niceties invites audiences to engage in thought-provoking discussions about race and privilege in America.
