The USDA Forest Service (USFS) office in Laramie, Wyoming, will be relocating to a new location just south of town after the new year. The move marks a significant change for the Forest Supervisor’s Office for the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland (MBRTB), as well as the Laramie Ranger District.
The new office will be located at: 3838 Cherrywood Loop, Laramie, WY 82070
This building is situated just off the east side of Wyoming Highway 287 (South 3rd Street), near the Albany County Fairgrounds and the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Driver Services building. Visitors can access Cherrywood Loop by turning east from the highway onto Huron Street.
To accommodate the relocation, the Forest Service office will temporarily close to the public from December 25, 2024, through January 20, 2025. Staff anticipate reopening at the new location on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
The USFS has been seeking a new facility in Laramie since 2018. The previous lease has expired, and the former building no longer met the requirements to house both the Forest Supervisor’s Office and the Laramie Ranger District.
