VFW Post 2221 and the Jacques Laramie Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, are teaming up to host a buffet breakfast fundraiser for Wreaths Across America. Join us on Sunday, November 5th, from 8 am to noon at the VFW Post, located at 2142 E Garfield. Tickets are just $10 per person, available at the door.
In addition to a delicious breakfast, there will be a silent auction. All proceeds from this event will go toward purchasing wreaths to honor veterans at Greenhill Cemetery this holiday season.
Wreaths Across America, a tradition that began in 1992, has grown to encompass more than 2 million wreaths placed at countless locations worldwide. These wreaths symbolize the empty spaces at family tables, a poignant reminder of lost veterans, and a tribute to their service to our nation. Last year, hundreds of wreaths were laid at Laramie’s Greenhill Cemetery. This year, National Wreaths Across America Day is scheduled for Saturday, December 16th, with local ceremonies commencing at 11 am. Volunteers are encouraged to join in the wreath-laying ceremony.
