A delightfully kitschy evening awaits Laramie residents as Gem City Dolls Burlesque presents Reefer Glamness, a campy burlesque show celebrating the satirical fun of the Reefer Madness theatre shows and film.
Gem City Dolls was founded in 2018 by Fiery Desire and Requiem La Raunch, two local, amateur burlesque artists. Gem City Dolls is a not-for-profit burlesque & vaudeville troupe that donates all proceeds to the historic Gryphon Theatre, to help fund future live events for the Laramie community.
The performance is set to take place at the Gryphon Theatre, located in the Laramie Plains Civic Center, on May 11th at 8:00pm. Doors will be open for general seating at 7:00pm with a cash & credit bar. Patrons must be 18 years old to enter. Reefer Glamness will feature live singing, hula hooping & comedy, in addition to burlesque dancing.
Burlesque is a performance style that honors the art of the tease. Usually seen in vaudeville and/or cabaret settings, burlesque is a theatrical artform that celebrates all body types, ages, and genders, to name just a few. Gem City Dolls strive to provide a provocative mix of talents to produce shows that promote body positivity, personal creativity and self expression. We happily donate our time to help further the arts showcased at the Gryphon Theatre. If you are interested in becoming part of this creative community, please follow/message Gem City Dolls on Facebook or Instagram or reach out to us via email: gemcitydolls@yahoo.com.
Presale tickets are now available for $15 online at gryphontheatre.org or in person at Coal Creek Tap or Front Street Tavern. Tickets will be $20 at the door on the night of the show.
The Gem City Dolls hope to see you Saturday night to enjoy this smoking hot, little burlesque show!
