Austin Perry (left), an employee of Hits 106, presented a check for $1,200 on behalf of the radio station to Pete Gosar (right) of the Downtown Clinic. The money was raised for the clinic during this year’s Underachievers 0.5k race, organized by Hits 106, which took place on September 16th at Washington Park in Laramie.

The 6th Annual Underachievers 0.5k Race, presented by Toyota of Laramie, saw participants gathering at 10 am-ish to celebrate underachievers in a unique way. Racers had the option to run, walk, crawl, or use any non-motorized mode of transportation to complete the untimed 0.5k race. Along the course, donuts and coffee were readily available, with a refreshing beer waiting for them at the finish line.

The event was not only a fun-filled day but also a means to support a noble cause. Proceeds from the race ticket sales, raised by Hits 106, were directed towards the Downtown Clinic, ensuring that the community benefits from this lighthearted event. The donation exemplifies the spirit of giving and community support that makes Laramie a wonderful place to live.
