Laramie Main Street is bringing back the Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting this year, promising an evening full of festive cheer in downtown Laramie. The celebration kicks off on December 6th at 5:00 p.m., with live music, a holiday photo booth, and refreshments provided by the Laramie Soup Kitchen.

As part of the festivities, Laramie Main Street is also launching the “Cause a Flurry” campaign, inviting community members to purchase snowflakes in honor of loved ones. These snowflakes, available for $10, $15, and $25, will be displayed in the First Street Plaza kiosk from December 2nd through January 2025. Proceeds from this tax-deductible fundraiser will support local projects and events that benefit the 300+ locally-owned businesses in the downtown area.

The evening will culminate with the lighting of the train in Depot Park at 6:00 p.m., followed by the highly anticipated Holiday Parade at 6:30 p.m. The parade will wind through 1st and 2nd Streets, from Sheridan to University Avenue, under this year’s theme, “Songs of the Season.”

Trey Sherwood, Director of the Laramie Main Street Alliance, shared her excitement:
“This is a special time of year when our community gathers downtown, the heart of Laramie, to make memories with their loved ones. Thank you for supporting our local businesses as part of your holiday traditions!”
