Ivinson Memorial Hospital (Ivinson) and Children’s Hospital Colorado (Children’s Colorado) have announced a new Care Alliance to enhance neonatal and pediatric care for Laramie families. This collaboration ensures that local children can access specialized care from Children’s Colorado, a top-ranked pediatric hospital, without leaving their community.

Doug Faus, Ivinson’s CEO, stated, “Children’s Colorado is ranked number one in the region for pediatric care, and their expertise is going to make a tremendous impact on families in our community.” He added, “This Care Alliance should give parents the peace of mind of knowing their children are receiving the highest level of care from top-trained experts in newborn and pediatric care in the comfort of their community hospital.”

The alliance introduces neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs) from Children’s Colorado to Ivinson’s nursery and pediatric units, providing 24/7 care for newborns and pediatric patients under two. These highly trained NNPs will work closely with local pediatricians and family medicine doctors, ensuring exceptional care and the latest medical protocols.

Jennifer Knotts, Vice President of Partnerships at Children’s Colorado, highlighted the longstanding collaboration between the two organizations, stating, “The introduction of NNPs to Ivinson demonstrates their commitment to providing the best care for their smallest patients. As our first Children’s Colorado NNP site in Wyoming, we are thrilled to be partnering with Ivinson to bring pediatric specialty expertise closer to home for children.”
