The Laramie community is encouraged to join Laramie BikeNet this Friday,
August 26th at 5:30pm for an annual group ride called Pedalpalooza! Community
members are asked to meet up on the University of Wyoming campus with their
bicycle. They are also encouraged to wear a costume or costume pieces which incorporate their
bicycle, and prizes will be given out for both costumes and bike decorations.
The ride begins on the University of Wyoming campus at the UW Outdoor
Program Office located on the East side of Half Acre Gym at 5:30pm, and ends in
downtown Laramie at the weekly Friday Farmer’s Market. This event is put on in partnership with the Pedal House of Laramie, Laramie Mainstreet Alliance, and All Terrain Sports.
Rico Vercoe, the current President of Laramie BikeNet, explains that this event
happens every year on the first Friday of the University of Wyoming fall
semester. “Pedalpalooza is a celebration of pedal-powered transportation
in Laramie, Wyoming,” Vercoe says.
