Wyo Elite cheer is an all-star cheerleading program in Laramie for kids from ages 3-18. Wyo Elite teaches kids skills like teamwork, arriving on time, competing in events, and all-star cheerleading.

Owner and Coach of Wyo Elite, Breanna Blair, says “We just finished our second competing year.” Wyo Elite has over 50 students of different ages.

Blair explains, “We just finished our second competitive season and we actually are taking two teams to Las Vegas at the end of April…they got invited to attend a competition.”

Blair explains the hardships her, her business partner Ashley Hubbard and her students have faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and what she did to keep her students and staff safe during the pandemic. “We closed for four months at the beginning of Covid and we ended up doing some virtual lessons online through zoom and that can only go so much with cheer. We ended up doing park practices at Washington park for a couple of weeks before we were able to get back into the gym …we made it work.”

“We were able to open back up in July…We realized that kids wearing masks while they are doing physical activity was not the safest, we did let them wear masks if they wanted to. Just staff mainly in general take temperatures and wear masks during practice.”   

Wyo Elite Cheer teaches teamwork, cheerleading skills, and offers a community for kids and teens. “They gain a lot of cheer experience and that’s always important, but our biggest goal is just to make sure that we are somewhere they can call home away from home.”

Wyo Elite cheerleading classes are located at Wyoming School of Gymnastics.
