A new local group of Laramie visionaries has come together to create: Prairie Fire Zine.
This local zine is looking to get its voice out in the community and has been working hard to create its first edition, Pilot.
The staff of Prairie Fire is still accepting submissions for the first edition. This zine will launch its first pilot addition on December 1, and the submission deadline is November 27.
What is a zine? Well, according to the creators of Prairie Fire, a zine is a small circulation of self-published work that is compiled of abstract images, art, political opinions, comics, poetry, social theory, or even explicit content. These zines are circulated within the community, on social media, and on the internet.
For zines to be able to gain traction, they need content. The Prairie Fire Zine is still accepting submissions for artists, poets, authors, critics, eccentrics, creatives, and romantics. This first edition will be anything and everything, and they want you to be a part of this new community.
So, if you want to share something with the community or have questions about this zine, email prairiefirezine307@gmail.com, again, submissions are due by November 27 to be featured in the Pilot.
And don’t worry if you can’t make that deadline! Follow @prairiefirezine on Instagram for updates on current and future zines, and submission deadlines.
Refine your mind with Prairie Fire Zine and send in your submissions today! And be on the lookout for the Pilot edition of PFZ!
