Keeping toddlers, kids, teens, and adults reading and learning throughout the summer, The Albany County Public Library’s summer programming offers daily engaging activities and fun events for the Laramie community. The Library’s upcoming free event for children is a Fantastic Fluttery Fairy Zoom Program coming up on Wednesday August 5th from 10:30am to 11:15am. Reservations for the free event can be made at https://forms.gle/RRbtLxzSMJYGVEFK7 and people who make reservations will be directed on how to pick up their free activity kits to go along with the event.
Wednesday’s Zoom event will be hosted by a special fairy guest from Laramie Princess Parties who will be leading the virtual crafts, songs, games, and dancing with the children over Zoom, as well as reading stories. Laramie Princess Parties is a locally run business where performers dress as a multitude of princesses and other characters to entertain at birthday parties or other events. For more information on Laramie Princess Parties, visit https://www.facebook.com/laramieprincesses/.
Other resources for children provided by the Library are Science Friday videos posted weekly, live and prerecorded story times, activity kits to pick up, and daily StoryWalks, an outdoor reading experience where children walk around outside to find laminated pages of picture books. For teens, QuaranTeen Hangouts and weekly age-appropriate activity kits are available. To view the ACPL Events calendar, visit https://www.acplwy.org/events/library-events.

Pick up times are 10am to 2pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays with special curbside pickup for high risk groups from 9am to 10am on those same days. The Library is also taking donations of books, DVDs, and other media at those same times and days.
