After a four-year hiatus, The University of Wyoming Theater and Dance department pairs with the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra to collectively put on the production of The Nutcracker.
This tradition occurs every four years and is continuing for the 7th year this year since 1998. The uwyo dance and theater department is excited to welcome the Laramie community to this holiday classic.
Opening night was on Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. The production could not have been better. With almost a sold-out show, The Nutcracker ran smoothly in all departments.
The Nutcracker will continue to run through Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11, at 2:30 p.m. in the UW College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts box office and the Wyoming Union information desk by calling (307) 766-6666 or going online at www.uwyo.edu/finearts
There is still time to get tickets and head to the University’s production of The Nutcracker! After this year, the next performance of this production will be in 2026. So grab your friends and family, and don’t miss out on this classic holiday tradition.
