On Tuesday, October 22, libraries across Wyoming will celebrate Wyoming Snapshot Day 2024, a statewide event designed to highlight the vital role libraries play in their communities. The day will feature photos, videos, and comments from libraries that showcase their impact, allowing residents to see firsthand the importance of these local institutions.

This year, the event has launched a new website at wyomingsnapshotday.com, making it easier for libraries to share their stories and for the public to engage.

“Snapshot Day is a fun and easy way for our amazing Wyoming libraries to showcase the important work they do in each of their communities,” said Christi Weinzierl, Communications and Grants Specialist at the Wyoming State Library. “We invite all Wyoming libraries to participate and are excited to share the impact of the valuable resources and services they provide their patrons.”

Organized by the Wyoming State Library and the Wyoming Library Association, the event aims to capture the unique contributions of each library in the state. Residents interested in participating should reach out to their local library for more information.
